I can't understand Daylight Savings Time. Why can't we just leave the clock alone? It all works out in the end, doesn't it?
The U.S. Department of Energy is studying the energy savings associated with the change and will report back to Congress in December.If there is considerable savings, Congress reserved the right to switch back to the old system. Maybe I am missing something, or maybe I am just not very bright, but I don't see how it makes the least little bit of difference.
Anyway, despite what all of the calendars in my house say, apparently the time change is not until next Sunday, Nov. 3. So, as is tradition, I'm sure I will forget and show up for church an hour late and miss the whole service. Oh well. The rest of the congregation will get a chuckle anyway.
